oct. 12 - week 9.

hey, it's friday. jack's here; perhaps i'll go drink some beer.

tomorrow is the 2nd bi-annual shrop-trot. woohoo!

so, at PT on wednesday oct. 12.
bike - 10 minutes. like last time.
stretching - although i guess we stretched after my straight leg raises. nothing else new to report here. things are still tight.
scars - i guess they're getting gradually better.
exercises - straight leg raises w/ 5 lbs - 30 each direction. leg extensions off the table (10) and on the wedge (10) w/ 5 lbs. little baby squats (about 30 degrees) holding on to one of the machines for support (30). shuttle with 3 bands (3 x 15). calf raises (4 x 10). balance board, 1 leg - 2 minutes each direction. i started out doing these with both legs, and after the first 2 minutes chris allowed me to try it with one leg. yippee! my foot started to get a little tired. hmm.
hydrotrack - i walked fast today. 2.5 or something forwards, 1.8 or so backwards. i think that's right. more squats in the water (45).
flexion - i can get to 110 without too too much trouble, but more than that kinda sucks. chris made my knee go to 115 and held it there for a bit. i dread that part of my day. truly. somebody should tell me to stop being such a wuss i guess.

we didn't talk about the whole deal with the crutch before chris left for lunch, so she called me later. she basically said i was walking fine with the water, and that i could go for no crutches if i want. but to take it with me to use if i'm going anyplace with a lot of people around. like the mall.
