so.
in an effort to write more and blog more. here's something I've been thinking about in the last couple weeks.
personal goals for this season (in no particular order, and to be adjusted/augmented whenever necessary).
1. increase distance on pulls - pull into the endzone consistently
2. prevent the under cut better
3. celebrate small successes - set mini goals during a point and stick to them, remembering that I can't do everything.
4. good conditioning - keep balance of strength, sprint, agility workouts
5. 100% effort when on the field - destroy teams b/c I'm fresh all the time b/c of our big team!
6. focus on handler movement - repo, up line strikes, communicating
7. more hucks from power position
8. learn things (actively and passively) from duffy and slider
9. increase reps on footwork, agility, quickness drills to translate to D positioning/repo and marking
10. visualization exercises every week
11. take care of myself - ice, drink more water, sleep enough, write, talk
12. more directive sideline talking to downfield defenders (where's the disc?)
13. push teammates physically AND mentally at practice
14. prep appropriately for subcalling w/ attention to personnel combos w/in specific Ds
hm that's all for right now. prob will add to it over time. maybe write comments on my perceived progress and/or adjustments.
